SafeAir Consultants & Cleaning Inc. recently joined KESCA (Kitchen Exhaust Systems Cleaning Association) in response to the new certification standards put into effect. KESCA goals are to get all cleaning companies to become licensed members and to certify all facilities once they are cleaned to NFPA 96 standards.

Our goal is to clean every food service industry at least once a year and inspected twice a year by an authorized Kesca member. These inspections will include a detailed checklist and pictures of the concerned areas in question.

KESCA is contracting other companies to develop courses teaching the licensing certification process to ensure clean, healthy, energy efficient fire preventative services.

There are over 5000 restaurants available to the public in the Ottawa/Gatineau area with only approximately 1000 locations able to meet the NFPA 96
